Shinola Rush Street Store

In 2011, we came to Detroit to build a brand of meticulously crafted goods and well-paying jobs. But we didn’t have a name for our business. It's said that the conversation around the name escalated into an argument. At one point, one team member yelled, “You don’t know sh*t about Shinola!” This is how the name Shinola Detroit came to be, from American workmanship and quality.
