The Bocks have been creating fine jewelry for over 100 years. Abram Bock, a Russian citizen, participated in St. Petersburg's jewelry trade as an apprentice in 1900. He later tied the knot with his jewel master’s daughter. They settled in Memel, Germany, where he successfully launched a jewelry business. Harry, the heir, and Ali Bock and their daughter Ali migrated to the United States, Dallas. Ali's family had relocated there before the start of World War II. In 1948, Abram Bock was founded by A. Bock Manufacturing Jeweler, now referred to as Bock Jewelry Co., Inc. He was quick to start his jewelry repair works. Before World War II, the business began selling diamonds through Jules and Henry's Belgium contacts. Harry, Abram’s son, was taught English at the time. He later graduated from Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri, with a retailing degree.
